Watch the Throne

Lately, I have had this infatuation with wingback & victorian chairs. They have this regal look about them but, they are not gaudy looking. Old yet simple. I looked at just about every site & hit jackpot. The company is called Sultan Chic & from the looks of it, they make awesome chairs (FYI, these chairs are pretty expensive)... Ass happy, lol... I didn't take the time to edit the pics & all I did was put a border on them... I'm being lazy but, whatever. Enjoy.

(Editor's Note: When overhauling the look of my blog, I also decided to change the look of the pictures posted... I guess I'm not so lazy after all.)

Couronnement Gloire... Mars' Intro

... Tous les chevaux du roi, et tous les hommes du roi...
(All the king's horses & all the king's men...)

I figured that this first post would be somewhat of an introduction; a peek into the inner workings of Mars.

My blog's background is that of a checkmate. We all are kings of our destiny & life is one contemplative move after another. Sometimes, we clamp down on victory & other times, we are 'checked'. For awhile, I've felt like Mr. Humpty Dumpty. You know, the egg that had a great fall? It has been a tedious task, piecing myself back together. Circumstances, both of my doing & the invisible, indomitable force of nature, had sent me into somewhat of a downward tailspin. My outward cynical look of my surrounding environment was continually countered by my inward optimistic view; the rose that grew from the concrete. I have focused on (& dwelled on) the broken glass, shit, & every dirty thing possible when, I didn't take time to admire the unusual beauty of something that grew out of the harshest conditions. I'm not to sure what the catalyst was to bring me to this epiphany (of sorts) but, I'm eagerly awaiting the chessboard to be reset...

But enough with that though. This blog will be my museum to you; an online gallery of my thoughts, vulnerability, works, & inspiration. With that being said, I invite you to ride the elevator up into the clouds & see where I'm at...

"Ma tête est dans les nuages"...
(My head is in the clouds...)

(Editor's Note: If you are reading this post, then obviously you noticed that the checkmate picture is no longer the background... Instead, it is here in this post. Enjoy.)
